Why Lidl chose to work with us

How Lidl uses our Online Video Platform

Templates & automated branding

To optimize their distribution and reach, Lidl Belgium shares their video content both on their own website and on numerous partner media sites. The appearance of the video and the player are automatically adjusted to match the branding of the partner websites.

Three different publishers spread content across a total of nine websites, and each partner website comes with its own unique features and functionalities. To keep their content scalable, they utilize templates for all their videos that include logic that dynamically selects the optimal layout and functionalities for the website.

Lead generation

Within a video, viewers can either download a recipe or sign up for the Lidl newsletter with the latest recipes. By using a template, the interactive elements are automatically added to each video.

To automate their mail flows, Lidl connected our platform with their email marketing system. Recipe emails are constructed by using the metadata in our platform, which contains the ingredients, instructions and a photo of the recipe. The platform communicates this information to the email marketing system to simplify compiling the email to send to the viewer.

Language detection

Lidl Belgium operates in two languages: French and Flemish. The video player automatically detects the page URL where the player is embedded and automatically shows the video in the right language.
