The Blue Billywig office in downtown Stockholm is officially open for business! On November 1st, we realised a long term ambition of truly becoming an international company. The first three Swedish Video Consultants have been hired and Martijn has unpacked all his moving boxes.

More and more international colleagues and clients means that our communication will be predominantly in English going forward.

In the last few years, Blue Billywig has grown significantly. More and more international companies and organisations have chosen Blue Billywig, with 40% of our revenue coming from clients outside of the Netherlands. With such an international appeal, the timing was therefore right to make the first physical step abroad.

After researching multiple foreign markets, Sweden felt like the perfect fit. Much like the Netherlands, Sweden is also a major European hub for technology companies, and this shared desire for innovation, along with a similar corporate culture, is what ultimately led to our decision, with the plan being to launch further offices in other geos in the coming years.

Blue Billywig’s area of expertise has always been in developing innovative video solutions that serve a broad range of clientele, through products such as our video management platform, our advertising services, and our fully customisable interactive video editing suite. While we have always been strong internationally, taking the step of opening an office in Stockholm is an exciting and important strategic move for the company. Together with the local team, we look forward to working with Swedish businesses and helping them succeed with interactive and personalised video.

Office space

The Swedish office is located in SUP46, a hub in the centre of Stockholm, where only the most exciting and innovative tech start-ups are granted access. With the help of the Dutch HQ and the local commercial team, Martijn has set up and will manage the Swedish office.
