What is a Module?

Think of a Module as a self-contained feature pack, including all its necessary configurations. This release brings both our key third-party integrations such as Google Analytics 4, Matomo, and speech-to-text as well as internal features like Shorts and Channels directly into the Modules interface. While some Modules can be enabled or disabled instantly, others will trigger a request to your Customer Success Manager to assist with the setup.

Most Modules have their own settings which allow for some standard values to be filled in and to be applied across the OVP. The enabling of Modules and the changes in its settings can only be done by users with admin permissions.

How do Modules affect the OVP?

Modules act as the control center for your OVP interface. By toggling a module, you directly impact what your team sees and interacts with. Whether you want to provide your team with easy, one-click access to Google Tag Manager or explore new platform capabilities, you can now manage it all directly from the Modules page.

Your existing setup moves with you

Already using Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Piwik PRO or Matomo? Then there is nothing you need to do. With this release, all existing integration settings are automatically carried over into their respective Modules, and those Modules are enabled for you from day one. Your analytics keep flowing and your data feeds keep running. No reconfiguration, no interruption.

The same goes for any settings you have configured on individual playouts: these continue to work exactly as before. In fact, playout-level settings always take priority over the Module’s standard values, so you can set sensible defaults once in the Module and still fine-tune (or disable) them per playout where needed.
